Travis began his career as an Elvis Tribute Artist in 1993 when he was selected by Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater to play the part of “The Singer” (Elvis) in the original production of Steve Martin’s stage play “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”.

In November of 1993 Adam Gopnik of The New Yorker magazine wrote; “And then there was Elvis, the king himself, drinking a cup of coffee at the work table

The King exactly as he was in 1957. It Turned out that Steppenwolf had found a young sheet- metal worker from upstate Illinois. Travis Morris who had just begun his career as an Elvis Impersonator. He looked a little dazed, less by the presence of a movie star than by the fact of being an Actor.

The end worked perfectly. Travis’s nerves, as he makes his entrance as the “Singer”, came across as formality.”

Travis would soon be playing to an audience of over

10, 000 Elvis fans at the Hippodrome in Montreal, as well as many other events.

In August of 1998 Travis won  the “Images of Elvis” tribute contest in Memphis, considered by most to be the world contest at the time.

The sheet-metal worker gone,  an Entertainer is born!

In this “era” Travis sings Elvis hits like “Don’t Be Cruel”, “All Shook Up”, and “Houndog”

His uncanny resemblance to Elvis, ability to replicate Elvis’s voice, country boy personality, and electrifying dance moves have made Travis one of the very best Impersonators in the World today!!
